Forenzic are one of Preston's hidden gems, with a potent political message, youthful confidence and a set with great depth. They do have a certain rage in their flow and delivery, but they can wield an axe around a thumping melody like few other groups in the area, and spit out hard-case lyrics with devastating force. An impressive technical group with many doors opening for them now.

It is encouraging to see that the latest round of Battle of the Bands is bringing out the crowds and encouraging the best from the groups. Indeed opener Forzenic doubled their already impressive efforts from the heats to sustain a fair reputation as an anthem powerhouse. The rage of political lyrics and thumping guitar energy is every bit as frenetic now as their first round heat in which brickwork moved and the foundations shuddered. With a thunderous delivery and added amusing delight of a kind of hardcore Bez, Forenzic remain distinctive in sound and appearance amongst the second round crowd. Showing comfortable ease in knowing their way around a guitar, this should be enough to see the rap/rock crossover band into the later rounds with some ease.

There was a certain rage to Forenzic, whose tight delivery shook the early doors crowd with a blast of raw electric guitar action. Much more mature than the vapid shouty-mess of skate-core, this politically sharp metal/rap mix had a reserved angst with a marshalled delivery: mature and intense, sound as steady as their lyrical convictions. Shock and Awe may have been a little too close in the pace of the flow to Eminem's Mosh, but that should take nothing away from a gauntlet dropping set of some fervour.
